Claes et al (2013) found that
there is a new anterolateral ligament of the knee. Responsible for anterior
stability and internal rotation of the tibia. Along with the ACL (anterior
cruciate ligament) and illiotibial band, they help to stabilise
anterior distraction of the tibia at the knee.
