The CSP is supporting members to help people stay in work following injury or illness. They have launched an information paper to help all physios play a key role in the government’s drive to keep sickness absence rates down.
ctchealthcare have followed the government's agenda from the start, meeting with Dame Carol Black, minister for Health at Work following the 2008 publication of ‘working for a healthier tomorrow’ to discuss ctchealthcare's proactive approach to workplace health.
The Allied Health Professions (AHP) Advisory Fitness for Work report is a useful tool in helping to support employees returning to work and ensuring line managers understand their condition and phase their return to work appropriately. ctchealthcare's approach focuses on prevention and immediate management of musculoskeletal injury reducing the likelihood of absence from work.
"We have always believed the role of the physiotherapist is to educate, prevent and actively manage injury in the workplace and are experienced in doing so for many local, national and international companies." explains Nicola Suckley, Healthcare Director at ctchealthcare.
