Public Health England have issued new guidelines on healthier and more sustainable catering. The guidelines have been produced to improve the nutritional standards of catering across UK.
As a large proportion of the population rely on catering services each week, the PHE have reinforced the need for all caterers to use the governments nutrition recommendations as a guideline when producing menus to ensure that they provide nutirionally balanced and sustainable foods that meet the country's dietary needs.
