Walk To Work Week - Supported By Ctchealthcare's Crewe Business Park Challenge

09 May 2014

ctchealthcare are encouraging all employees on the Crewe Business Park to walk, cycle or lift share to work next week as part of the national Walk to Work week on the 12th May 2014.

The Local Sustainable Travel grant that ctchealthcare were awarded last month is aimed at finding Smarter Ways to Travel around Crewe. A Crewe Business Park challenge will launch in the summer hosted by ctchealthcare encouraging teams of employees from the Crewe Business Park to 'Beat the Business Park' and improve local sustainable and active travel.

The challenge is hoping to promote the benefits of finding an economically friendly way to travel to work. This challenge will help:

  • Improve staff productivity and reduce absences due to sick days by improving the health and well-being of your staff
  • Reduce congestion
  • Save money
  • Health benefits from increasing your physical activity
  • Reduce CO2 emissions in Crewe
Each member of the team will be asked to wear a ctchealthcare pedometer and record their journeys to work. Prizes will be given to the winners on completion of the challenge. You could even fundraise for your favourite charity!

Also included will be:
  • Free health checks pre and post event @ ctchealthcare
  • Free cycle safety and maintenance workshops
For more information on the challenge contact Sarah McGovern at ctchealthcare on 01270 361363.
