Our bespoke injury prevention approach focuses on reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders, increasing productivity and maximising staff attendance.

We work with clients to fully understand their work processes and the individual issues they face by talking to managers, observing the workplace and undertaking focus groups with front line employees.

We then use this information to develop best working practice guidelines that are completely bespoke for each client.

Telephone Triage

Our groundbreaking telephone triage service has been designed to offer support to sufferers of musculoskeletal conditions.

A dedicated telephone line provides immediate access to an experienced physiotherapist for employee assessment, and if required an onward referral to the relevant healthcare professional.

The service is proactively used to reduce sickness absence, and facilitate speedy returns to the workplace – with over 40,000 employees in public and private sector organisations in Staffordshire and Cheshire having access to this ctchealthcare service.

Ergonomic Assessment

Utilising evidence-based physiotherapy and ergonomic practice, ctchealthcare has developed an effective onsite program to assess your employees work environment and make immediate improvements and recommendations to help reduce musculoskeletal injury and sickness absence.

Assessments are individualised to each employees’ work place. ctchealthcare will discuss any musculoskeletal conditions the employee may already have, assess the work station environment and make positive changes. These may include seated posture adjustments, desk organisation and the recommendation of any appropriate equipment and/or exercises and advice to help reduce stress and strain on the body.

Following assessment and intervention, a comprehensive report detailing findings, intervention, outcomes and future recommendations is completed and presented.

DSE Assessment

Poor posture and associated low back and neck pain is inherently associated with the sedentary work force. It is a major cause of sickness absence costing employers between £315-£335 million every year (Health & Safety Executive).

Computer workstations or equipment can be associated with neck, shoulder, back or arm pain, as well as with fatigue and eyestrain. Display Screen Equipment are a mjor contributer to this.

Surveys have found that a high proportion of DSE workers report aches, pains or eye discomfort. ctchealthcare provide a comprehensive assessment service and deliver a detailed report to identify key risks and areas for improvement.

Best Working Practice Guidelines

ctchealthcare are experts in the field – creating best working practice guidelines for some of the UK’s leading businesses.

Through observation, analysis and discussion with both management and the workforce, interactive guidelines are developed to achieve gold standard practice and address general health and wellbeing issues.

We develop new ways of working that reduce stress and strain on the body, reducing the likelihood of injury occurrence.

The guidelines can be delivered in a variety of formats to suit the individual requirements of your business which include manuals (both paper and web formats) and training sessions in both the classroom and on the shop floor.

Manual Handling Training

Our manual handling training has a specific emphasis on the human aspects of moving and lifting and focuses on the importance of postural awareness throughout the manual handling process. It adheres to HSE and Government recommendations for correct manual handling in the workplace.

ctchealthcare can perform an onsite review and hold focused discussion groups with staff members. Based on findings we then return to deliver an interactive theory and practical manual-handling workshop. We suggest subtle key changes to processes, storage units and equipment during a summary presentation to management.

Occupational Health

ctchealthcare sources impartial, independent and definitive occupational health support for business of all sizes within our early intervention ethos.

We have access to a wide range of experienced occupational health medical professionals including doctors, nurses and physiotherapists which allows us to match service provision to your exact needs. Their services can be provided directly onsite or indirectly as an associate service of your business.
